Children's Home Project
We finished the initial construction of our new home and are trying to raise money for the following items/projects:
80,000 B (US $2000) – Playground for bigger children and the community's children (this includes a concrete playground to play basketball and football, a natural playground to play volleyball and badminton, as well as equipment)
80,000 B (US $2000)- We need a driveway and parking lot for our new home. You do not get a warm fuzzy feeling when you donate for these things, but they are really needed.
Variety of children’s Gear
Umbrellas- 10,000 baht for 100
Underwear-200 baht per child (replaced every 6 months) for 110= 44,000 baht/year
School Uniforms-2,600 baht per child for 80 children= 208,000 baht/year
Carpentry workshop
In order to be self sufficient and to develop a new training opportunity, Baan Unrak wants to start a carpentry workshop. We will train young people in our community and teach them about carpentry work. Then, we will employ them in the project to build beds, furnitures and wooden items for the children home. We plan to lay out the basement of the house, cover the floor with concrete and build some wooden fences. The carpentry project needs 12,000 Thai Bath to be started and implemented.
Women's Project
20,000 B (US $500)/ house: To build 12 new shelters. Each shelter welcomes a mother and her children.
700,000 B to expand our weaving center. This will help us to expand the project and give more opportunities to local women.
Natural Medicine Project
Knowledge of natural medicine has been slowly disappearing. Asian people are still using this medicine. Some older people in the surrounding villages have knowledge about it and we would like to encourage them to impart it to the children. This is a great project to sponsor as the medicines will help us to cure our children and the community's patients.
40,000 Baht for medicinal plants, production and other things.
