Hello everyone,

​

We’re very pleased to have the support of Siam Handlebar BIG BIKE CENTRAL & their Biker friends, mainly from Hua Hin & Bangkok, to organize this inaugural Charity Ride. They have stated that they’d like to make this an annual event.

 

The children are really excited with the prospect of connecting with people outside their normal environment. They are really looking forward to the event.

Siam Handlebar BIG BIKE CENTRAL is based in Hua Hin, the heart of Thailand’s Royal Coast. They host regular Big Bike rides to different parts of Thailand... & beyond.

 

They have visited & supported us several times over the past years.

Purpose

The purpose of the Charity Ride includes: 

​

  • Building awareness of the incredible work that Baan Unrak Children’s Home does for underprivileged Thai & Burmese children; 

​

  • Raise funds to support Baan Unrak’s ongoing operations & new projects; 

​

  • Collect donations of ‘things’ & transport them to Baan Unrak. 

Initiatives

There are 5 main initiatives underway as part of the Charity Ride: 

1. Charity Ride

Between 35 & 40 Bikers & friends are expected to join the Charity Ride. They will all visit Baan Unrak Children’s Home on Saturday 19th Feb 2022, & we are sure many will buy some of our hand-made clothing & home products https://www.baanunrak.org/weaving-and-sewing . They will also support Baan Unrak Café https://www.baanunrak.org/restaurant-cafe who is doing the catering for lunch, dinner & breakfast during the Charity Ride.

In addition, all profits from drinks that are sold during the Charity Dinner on Sat 19th Feb 2022 will go to Baan Unrak.

2. T-shirt sponsorship

3. Raffle Draw

During the Charity Dinner on Sat 19th Feb 2022, a Raffle Draw will be held. An ‘arms length’ of tickets will be sold to participants for 1,000 THB per strip. A wonderful array of prizes will then be raffled & presented to lucky winners. We would like to thank all sponsors for their generosity.

4. Donation of 'things'

As you can imagine, 130 children need many ‘things’. If you have ‘things’ that you may not be using anymore, or just wish to donate to a good cause, you can drop them off at Siam Handlebar anytime between 9.30 AM & 5 PM any day of the week. They will arrange transportation of donations to Baan Unrak in February.
