Earthquake Relief for Myannmar

After a powerful earthquake struck Myanmar, thousands were left without food, shelter, or medical care.
Baan Unrak, in partnership with local and international organizations, launched an emergency response delivering food to over 4,000 families.
Now, we are rebuilding homes and restoring hope—prioritizing the most vulnerable. This is a woman-led effort rooted in compassion, resilience, and long-standing relationships along the Thai–Myanmar border.
Serving the Most Vulnerable
Our efforts are focused on supporting the most underserved families in Maha Aungmye and Chanmyathazi—two of the hardest-hit townships in Mandalay. We are prioritizing those who cannot rebuild on their own, including elderly individuals, young children, and single mothers with infants, many of whom face not only economic hardship but also deep social stigma and isolation. These are the most vulnerable members of the community, often living without support or safe shelter.

Building Homes

Thanks to ongoing support from donors and sponsors, we continue to work closely with Green Island School (Myanmar) and AMURTEL International to rebuild homes and restore lives—even when the rest of the world may have moved on. We regularly update our reports and the number of homes rebuilt, so please don’t hesitate to ask for the latest information.
This is a community-driven response to an overlooked crisis, and we are seeking funding partners who value timely, high-impact action in places that are often neglected by mainstream aid. Our organizations have deep ties to the region, strong accountability systems, and a proven track record of delivering with integrity and care.
