It is July, and the rain is heavier than usual, causing our activities to slow down. But suddenly, on a Saturday morning, everything came alive again.
Forty people from prestigious companies, representing seven groups, visited Baan Unrak. They traveled over 300 km from various locations to Sangkhlaburi by car and motorbike.
The groups included XSR Erawan Club, Trade On-Air, DOUBLEGOOD POWER COMPANY LIMITED, Thai Suriya Bangkhen Alumni Club, Ms. Premyuda Taengsap, PMG MOTOR COMPANY, and OLIC (THAILAND) COMPANY LIMITED. They gathered funds and items to donate to Baan Unrak.
Car after car, motorbike after motorbike, began to fill up our backyard until we had no more space. These visitors came from far away, from many different places.
Driving on hilly paths in the rain is challenging, especially for those on motorbikes. Even the leader of the group had an accident and needed treatment for a broken arm. Despite this, they did not give up.
They had been preparing for months, collecting money to buy essentials for us.
They brought us many things.
Their arrival brought sunshine not only to the sky but also to the faces of every single child, who murmured and exclaimed at the big bikes pouring in. The children's eyes were filled with amazement. People made great efforts for us, making us feel cherished and loved.
The children of Baan Unrak were determined to welcome them in the best way possible. They organized special performances, with both big and small children eager to participate.
It was indeed exciting. We even got ice cream.
After the chaos in the hall, the guests introduced painting activities. The children quickly shifted from excitement to deep concentration, forming bonds with the guests as they assisted in their creations.
The bonding came easily and brought tears to some eyes. Someone said, "My heart is full now."
When it was time to leave, after taking the group picture, smiles and waves filled the air as we bid farewell to our good friends. We knew that we would hold each other in our hearts for a long time to come.
