Broadening Horizons: A Journey of Culture, Education, and Joy
On October 19, we departed late in the morning with a group of 20 children from Sangkhlaburi for Bangkok. The trip's purpose was to attend a cultural event hosted by the Thai-Indian Trade Embassy on the evening of October 20, where the children were invited to showcase their talents through yoga, Indian dance, and singing.
On the morning of October 20, before the scheduled evening performance, we took the children to visit the planetarium in Bangkok. The children were excited and fascinated by the exhibits and activities. They thoroughly enjoyed the visit, as none of the children in the group had ever had the opportunity to visit a planetarium before.
This educational outing provided the children with a valuable opportunity to explore a new environment, discover new things, and broaden their horizons beyond their everyday surroundings. Their excitement, curiosity, and happiness made it a particularly memorable experience.
At noon, we were invited to have lunch at Ms. Lea's home with her friends. The children enjoyed a generous meal that included pizza, ice cream, fried rice, snacks, and beverages.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Ms. Lea and her friends for their kindness and generosity in providing lunch for the children. Their warm hospitality ensured that the children enjoyed a delicious meal and felt welcomed and cared for.
In the evening, we accompanied the children to the event venue according to the agreed schedule. The children performed yoga, Indian dance, and singing, demonstrating their dedication, confidence, and enthusiasm throughout the performances.
Their participation provided a meaningful opportunity to showcase their talents, gain valuable performance experience, and develop greater confidence in front of an audience.
Following the performances, the children enjoyed the meals prepared by the event organizers. After the event concluded, we returned to our accommodation to rest before the following day's journey.
October 21: Educational and Recreational Trip to Chonburi Province
Early on the morning of October 21, we woke up, prepared for the day, and had breakfast before setting off for Chonburi Province. Our destination was Nong Nooch Tropical Garden, where the children would have another opportunity to explore new surroundings, learn about nature, and enjoy a day of recreation.
Upon arrival, we took the children around the garden to explore its various attractions and admire the beautiful landscapes, plants, and natural surroundings.
The children were excited and delighted to discover a new place. Walking through the gardens allowed them to appreciate nature, learn outside the classroom, and experience something different from their everyday lives.
For the children, this visit was more than just a sightseeing trip. It gave them a chance to broaden their perspectives, spark their curiosity, and create happy memories together. Thank you to Nong Nooch Tropical Garden for sponsoring the admission tickets and providing our children with such a wonderful opportunity.
After visiting Nong Nooch Tropical Garden, we continued our journey to the beach, where the children enjoyed lunch by the seaside.
Some children happily played in the sea, while others preferred to walk along the beach, enjoy the refreshing sea breeze, and take in the beautiful coastal scenery. Everyone had the opportunity to relax, have fun, and spend quality time together.
We are sincerely grateful to the generous supporters who sponsored breakfast and lunch for the children on this day. Their kindness and generosity helped make the trip possible and ensured that the children could enjoy their meals throughout the journey.
Although the journey was long and the children experienced some tiredness from traveling and participating in various activities, they remained happy and enthusiastic. Seeing their smiles and excitement made every effort worthwhile.
The trip offered the children a wonderful mix of cultural participation, educational experiences, and recreational activities. From visiting the planetarium in Bangkok to performing at a cultural eve, exploring Nong Nooch Tropical Garden, and enjoying time at the beach, every activity gave the children a chance to learn, grow, and experience something new.
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to making this three-day journey possible and meaningful for the children.
Beyond the activities themselves, this trip gave the children opportunities to discover new places, develop confidence, showcase their abilities, learn beyond the classroom, and experience the kindness and generosity of others. For some children, visiting the planetarium, exploring a beautiful garden, or playing by the sea may have been a first-time experience. These seemingly simple moments can become precious memories that remain with them for years to come.
Most importantly, the trip reminded us that every child deserves opportunities to learn, explore, experience new things, and enjoy a happy childhood, regardless of their circumstances.
For some, a trip may simply be a few days away from home. For these children, it was an opportunity to discover the world beyond their familiar surroundings, build confidence, create lasting memories, and experience the kindness of people who care.
We sincerely thank everyone who supported, encouraged, and stood alongside us in creating these valuable opportunities for the children. Your generosity and compassion mean a great deal to us and inspire us to continue working toward a brighter future for every child.
Thank you for helping us bring smiles, hope, and unforgettable experiences into the lives of these children.
