Even after the big events ended, many beautiful activities continued to unfold in our home.

One of these was the visit of our wonderful friends Chris and Mila from Sweden. They had waited a whole year to return and brought a beautiful gift for Baan Unrak—6 brand new sewing machines. They arrived on Valentine’s Day, and the ceremony of opening their gift was deeply touching. It was a beautiful gift for a beautiful project, one that empowers women and girls.
We also had passing guests who were volunteering at Tonrak School and Hongkong guests. For them we organized several small fashion shows. It brought tears to our eyes, showcasing the simple beauty and innocence of our children—the spirit of wonder and the feeling of being seen and appreciated.
Our girls have also received much encouragement and appreciation. They worked intensively to upgrade the sewing area, organizing products, creating order, and preparing and executing the fashion show. They truly deserved some rest in a natural and relaxing environment.
Alongside this, the ladies of the house—our older girls and caregivers—organized a sale of donated items that we had accumulated in our storage room. We concluded the month with a second-hand clothing sale organized by our caregivers. Everyone, especially single mothers, was happy to find beautiful, good-quality items at very affordable prices.
In addition, we had countless trips to the river, the most welcome activity during this time of great heat.
We celebrated birthdays and shared special dinners.
At the end of the month, received a surprise gift from Selvafoods: a very special açaí berry ice cream. It was deeply appreciated and incredibly refreshing on the last day of school.
