We just wanted to take a moment to share what’s been going on with the earthquake relief efforts. it’s been so inspiring. Even in this difficult time, something beautiful is growing: connection, compassion, and the power of people coming together.
Under the caring umbrella of AMURT/EL, Baan Unrak is still actively coordinating four amazing teams, each bringing their own special magic to communities in need. Every day, we're reminded how strong we can be when we support each other. And as always, we are deeply, deeply grateful to everyone involved—you are the heartbeat of this work.
Whispering Seed – Gentle Hands, Deep Roots
In the quiet hills of Singnin, a very special group is making a difference in a quiet, beautiful way. The Whispering Seed team is deeply connected with nature and brings a refreshing, heart-based approach to education—especially in connection with Myanmar’s 2,500 monasteries.
Their work is subtle, deeply personal, and yet incredibly effective. So far, they’ve supported 150 families with rice, oil, and peanuts.
But they're already planning for more. What’s really moving is their vision: they’re preparing to help rebuild floating shelters in Inle, where people live closely with the water. The challenge? The earth is still trembling. But that hasn’t stopped them from imagining and designing solutions.
Aung Htet’s Team – Listening, Loving, Lifting
You might recognize the name Aung Htet, a beloved movie star in Myanmar. But out in the field, he’s simply a caring soul—traveling from place to place, meeting people face to face, and really listening.
With his personal funds and a donation from AMURT, he’s been bringing comfort and practical help to 150 families—one envelope, one gift, one story at a time. His work is a window into the daily struggles people are facing, and a reminder that just being present can mean so much.
Heaven Grace Ministry – Faith in Action, Love in Motion
After taking a short pause during the water festival—a sacred time for reflection and reconnecting with their congregation—the Heaven Grace Ministry team came back to the field with open hearts and steady hands.
Their first stop was in Naypyidaw, where they partnered with their church community to bring essential survival items to families in need. With AMURT/EL’s support, they were able to provide 150 families with rice and tarpaulins—simple items, but lifesaving in moments like these.
Then, on April 25th, they traveled to Pyin Ma Nar, reaching out to 102 families with more vital supplies from the ministry. And once again, thanks to the partnership with AMURT/EL, they were able to offer a financial support to 81 most vulnerable families—offering not just goods, but a real chance to take a step forward.
Since this collaboration with Baanunrak began, our work together with Heaven Grace Ministry has already touched the lives of 536 families.
Green Island School – Big Hearts, Bigger Impact
And then there’s the Green Island School team—they just finished a huge effort to bring food and supplies to two community of 915 families. Since this collaboration with Baanunrak began, our work together with the Green Island team we already helped with food 3,068 families.
They’ve just launched a new pilot project focused on shelter and sanitation— This is for those who are still struggling to find a safe place to stay during the rainy season. It’s the next step trying to reach out to as many people as possible.
Every day, we see more light reaching places that were once filled with uncertainty. But the need is still great, and our work is far from over.
If you can, please consider making a donation—every little bit helps. We’ll keep turning your kindness into real, tangible support for the people of Myanmar, sending wave after wave of good energy their way.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for reading, for sharing, and for caring.
Let’s keep spreading this beautiful web of compassion—together!
