It was on our mind for many years.
We were conscious that we didn't have a space for the sick of our community.
Finally, as the effort of many people came together, here it is!
It has been a long journey...
It was an ambitious project, and we knew that it was difficult to find fundings.
The opportunity came when the Province of Bolzano, Italy, offered a grant for Covid related projects.
With the support and encouragement of "Amici Nel Mondo" Onlus, we put in paper our project. We made a proposal, and we were granted the funding. However, the grant could not cover the whole project.
Then, the foundation "Aiutiamo a Volare" and other individual donors came forward to help us complete the project.

Construction started in January 2021.
The Completion of the First Floor!

We then proceeded building...
The Second Floor
...as a flexible, big open space...
By means of lightweight partitions, this space will be divided into many rooms for quarantine. However, this is the worst case scenario of pandemic...
We painted the whole building white, made final touches and...

Finally...

As soon as the building was completed, Covid hit us... so we had...

Quarantine can be boring...
So we make sure that it's not...!
We can even do some exercise!
In normal conditions,
We use the generous space of the Second Floor for different health related programs, such as seminars, classes and detox.
And...
Yoga Classes!
And...
Meditation!
And much, much more activities...!
Our new Space for Health is like a Lighthouse in the night of Baan Unrak...
And it is powered by Solar Energy.
It warms our hearts and gives us a feeling of safety.
