End of the School Year and Graduation Celebration

The school year has come to an end, and with it begins a time of joy, rest, and new opportunities.

The children are full of excitement after their final performances, days filled with music, dance, laughter, and a sense of accomplishment. Now they look forward to holidays: time with friends and family, moments of freedom, and the thrill of traveling and discovering new places. At the same time, they say goodbye to their friends, knowing they will be apart for two full months.

But the final performance is also something more; it is a moment of transition.

At Tonrak Ananda Marga School and at Baan Unrak, this is also graduation time.

Every year, we feel the wonder of how quickly time passes. Children who were once so small, held in our arms not long ago, are now growing, stepping forward into new chapters of life. Each ending is also a beginning; each step forward brings new opportunities, new hopes, and new light for the world to cherish.

This year, seven of our children graduated from primary school:

Rid, Jack, Meng, Fasai, Nam Cha, Yaya, and Puspa.

Three students graduate from junior high school:

Rita, Muk, and Maliwan.

For them, it is not only a school transition. They are leaving the familiar and protected environment of Tonrak school and stepping into bigger schools in Sangklaburi and Bangkok. It is a doorway into a wider world, a new dimension of life. A moment to celebrate their courage as they take this important step forward.

And then, our older children graduate from high school:

Karuna, Pokwayee, Champoo, Tenaiso, and Suchannya.

Their journey has not been easy, full of effort, sacrifice, sleepless nights, and moments of uncertainty. But they have made it. They have completed this important chapter of their lives.

Now they move beyond the shelter of the home, ready to explore life more independently through university or new work paths. They step forward with hope, dreams, and bright aspirations.

Besides our children of Baan Unrak, we also celebrated the children of those who grew up with us and are still part of our extended family. Mala and Heng’s child, Hope, graduated together with our children.

The tears of mother and child touched all of us deeply. It was more than a celebration; it was a quiet confirmation that the work of Baan Unrak has truly reached into the community, supporting lives that continue to grow, expand, and flourish.

In that moment, we could feel the beauty of life unfolding something larger than all of us, moving gently toward connection, growth, and shared belonging.

Life is always moving, always changing. And through these new steps of our children, we feel that movement deeply, a flowing stream that carries everything forward, overcoming obstacles and bringing fresh energy and renewal.
