Loy Krathong is a Thai festival celebrated on the full moon of November.
It is a highly anticipated event for our children!
Each of us prepared a beautiful Krathong, made of banana tree trunks and folded banana leaves, crafted into a lotus shape and decorated with flowers, incense sticks and a candle.
With the full moon shining bright in the sky,
We went down to the lake...
We sang Baba Nam Kevalam, LOVE IS ALL,
around the fire
We lit the candles and incense sticks of our Krathongs.
We offered our Krathongs to Mother Water
...Making a wish
...and we let them float away on the lake
