We wanted to do something special because yoga is an important part of life in Baan Unrak. For us, it has been a wonderful and powerful tool to elevate the minds of our children. It has helped us in many ways, calming and regulating the emotions of both children and adults alike.
For the past 35 years, we have lived in harmony, and we believe this is largely due to our regular practice of yoga and meditation.
On the 21st, the first group of children entering our special meditation hall was the little ones, the very youngest, accompanied by their caregivers. They were fresh, clean, and eager to try a bit of yoga. For them, it was like a joyful game that brought a good feeling to both their bodies and minds. We held a special reception in 4 different languages, so that everyone felt represented in our multicultural community.
The second group was a mix of big and small children. These were the ones with a special love for yoga. They are all in training and have signed up to perform in the yoga presentation. They are deeply committed. They love yoga and practice it with full concentration.
The final group was made up of older children who were not part of the performance team. They practiced as they do every day and tried some amazing positions.
After the individual sessions, we all came together to explore the powerful yoga postures we use during meditation. We felt a deep sense of peace and harmony together.
But something was still missing—the mothers, our caregivers, had not yet had a chance to participate.
So, we dedicated the next day to them. These women, the caregivers of our little ones, rarely have time off. They seldom get the chance to do yoga, as they are constantly occupied, 24/7.
The older children decided to give them a break.
They took care of the little ones, entertaining them with songs, games, dances, and more.
The little ones were so happy, and I, as the founder of this home, felt especially proud.

I hadn’t realized how much leadership potential our older children had. They worked together like a well-coordinated team, caring for the little ones while the caregivers—the mothers—enjoyed a rare moment of quietness and yoga practice with our yoga master, Gurusharan.
It was a true gifted gesture of love, care, and respect for our community of mothers.
We concluded the celebration with group meditation, practicing the most perfect yoga postures traditionally used during meditation.
