Water festival

Songkran is the Water Festival, that celebrates Thai New Year.

Some of the children celebrated Songkran in Rayong. They went to the town to join hundreds of people pouring water on each other, dancing and laughing on the streets.

Some were in a truck, some stayed in the school bus.

Pouring water symbolizes the soon end of the dry season, upcoming rainy season and a rich harvest in the new year. Well, the harvest has to be very good now after all this water!

Everybody was soaking wet and absolutely happy.

Sometimes we met a car full of other children and then there was a real fight.

But don't worry, this is only for the festival. The children know, how precious the water is and, when needed, they can manage with very little water.

Happy 2566!
